ALANA Lucia
In 2017, Alana(she/they) founded baddies, aiming to create a place for queer people to feel comfortable getting their haircut. With over 18 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and licensed barber. She was trained in nyc at Antonio prieto salon and the tigi academy in soho before working at the blind barber. Alana specializes in short haircuts, but she is skilled in all hair lengths and styles. She is taking curly and coily hair advanced classes in January 2025. Alana is passionate about Baddies being a warm environment that fosters self-love and empowerment. When this cuspy cancer/leo is not at Baddies she is spending time with the loves of her life(including her 2 cats, Simone & Gigi and dog Junebug), going to the park & beach, riding her bike and trying different restaurants around the city.
Janet Konz
Janet(she/her), is the co-owner of Baddies. she got her start cutting hair at the age of 3.5 when she artfully chopped her own tresses into what can only be described as the most glorious baby mullet the world has ever known. For those who guessed it, that’s right, she’s an Aries. Her career turned professional in 2006 when she became a licensed cosmetologist. After working in salons for several years she became interested in expanding her skill set to barbering. Baddies have been the perfect hybrid space for her to explore her passion for haircutting. She prides herself on her versatility and loves cutting all textures and styles; give her your long layers, tight fades, shags, and Sassoon bobs, her Virgo rising will thank you!
Jenna palma
Jenna (she/her) is our newest Junior stylist. She has always been fascinated by the artistry of hair—whether it was experimenting with her own hair colors, or executing detailed and layered cuts that move with natural flow. After training at an Aveda institute in 2022, Jenna found her niche as a colorist, blending her passion for precision with her love for vibrant transformations. *Her Scorpio sun and Capricorn moon are showing* Jenna’s goals as your hairstylist are to help you feel glamorous, inside and out! Whether you’re craving a bold transformation or just a fresh new look, She’ll work with you to create something that perfectly suits your style and personality.
AK GRAN
AK (she/they) has been in the hair industry since 2020, and specializes in bold transformations to help you feel as confident on the outside as you do on the inside. Bringing experience from Nashville, Minneapolis, and now NYC, their expertise includes extensions, custom color, and intuitive haircuts. This Scorpio sun loves deep conversations and using their craft to make a real impact. When they’re not working, you’ll find them vibing to live music, thrifting, or snuggling with their sweet cat, Luna.
